Welcome to the MiSEA!

MiSEA Mission Statement:  To advance the recognition of the professionalism and expertise of the MiSEA members throughout the business, public and private communities and to further enhance the members with professional and personal growth through education, promotion, mentoring and advocacy.

About the MiSEA:  The Michigan Society of Enrolled Agents (MiSEA) is the professional organization of Enrolled Agents in Michigan, and the Michigan affiliate of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA). Enrolled Agents are the only nationally licensed tax professionals, authorized to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audits, collections, and appeals.

The enrolled agent profession dates back to 1884 when, after questionable claims had been presented for Civil War losses, Congress acted to regulate persons who represented citizens in their dealings with the U.S. Treasury Department.

 Enrolled Agents Week!

We are pleased to announce that Governor Rick Snyder has proclaimed February 1st through 7th as “Enrolled Agent Week.
"  A big thank you to MiSEA Member, Daniel Bosler of Fenton, for reaching out and securing this Proclamation.

If you would like to share this news and help promote EA Week, click here for a copy of the EA Week Proclamation.

If you are successful in getting the proclamation announced, please email our Chapter Administrator, Mary Medonis, at info@misea.org as we would like to keep track of our successes.
